Our legal texts cover a location outside the EU you choose yourself

Version 7 of our data processing agreement and the privacy statement of 30 October say what happens when you choose a location for your app yourself. The app, its database and its backups are then at that location, with the cloud of that location as sub-processor; Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud and Scaleway are only sub-processors when you choose a location on them. Outside the EU this is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses of that cloud. If you do not choose, nothing changes: your data stays in the EU.
