The checkout form suggests your country from your location
When you keep your trial site, the form asks which country you live in or where your business is based. It used to guess that from the language of the page, so someone from Belgium on the Dutch page got the Netherlands. Now the form suggests the country that Cloudflare sees your connection coming from, and says so under the field. We only fill in a country inside the EU that way. If your connection seems to come from outside the EU, for example through a VPN, the form names that country and leaves the choice to you. Change the country if it is wrong: the country you send decides the VAT, just as before. The country of the domain holder works the same way, with the same remark. In the portal, a site that has no country yet gets the suggestion as well. A country we already know from your site always comes first, and so does the country you picked if the form comes back with an error. We don't store the suggestion and don't log it; only the country you send is saved.
