When you keep your site, you tell us whether you buy as a private person or a business

When you keep a trial site, we now ask whether you buy as a private person or as a business, and in which country you live or are based. A business adds its company name, registration number and billing address, and can add a VAT number. We check that number with VIES, the register of the European Commission, while you type. Your answer decides what goes on your invoice. A business in another EU country with a valid number gets VAT reverse charged, and outside the EU the service falls outside Dutch VAT. It also decides your rights. A private person has 14 days to withdraw, and the new article 22 of the terms says how, with a model form. For Platform, or when we register a new domain name for you, a private person asks us to start at once; if you then withdraw, you pay for what we already delivered. A business has no withdrawal period. The order button now says plainly that you order and pay. A few countries we do not deliver to are left out of the list. The terms are at version 6, and the privacy statement lists the new details.
